This journal is named for Caer Sidi, the Tower of the Otherworld.
"My Chair is in Caer Sidi, where no one is afflicted with age or illness. Manawyd and Pryderi have known it well. It is surrounded by three circles of fire. To the borders of that place come the ocean's flood, A fruitful fountain plays before it, Whose liquor is sweeter than the finest wine."
From 'The Defense of the Chair' by Taliesin, translated by John Matthews.

Caer Sidi is a place of magical and poetic inspiration, a gateway for the imagination.
In myth and legend, Caer Sidi is associated with Annwn, the Celtic Realm of the Dead and with the constellation Corona Borealis, the Crown of the North.
Thus, symbolically it is of both the Stars and of the Earth.
Who am I? I am Vivienne, Mistress of Caer Sidi.
My life is one lived in an ongoing dialogue with myth, legend and story. I am a student of the Mysteries, with special emphasis upon the Western traditions. I am a writer, mythologist, and mediator.
Throughout my life I have been active in various co-operative, environmental and spiritual initiatives. I am trained in Psychosynthesis, a form of transpersonal psychology.
Art, music, and story are my healers and dance my Muse. I believe in Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love.
I am very active within the magical world though rarely take a public role. While I love fantasy literature and role-playing, I take my spiritual path very seriously. I currently work with hand-picked apprentices rather than seek out the wider role of teacher.
While I do not avoid such topics in my LJ, I am sensitive to the fact that a number of my LJ friends focus is upon the mundane sphere for reasons of age or inclination.
I acknowledge, as do many other creators, that the eternal archetypes embodied in myth, legend and story constantly renew themselves.
Aside from this day to day journal, I maintain other journals for special purposes.
art_lover for occassional postings on art, pictures and the like.
muse_books for reviews and interacting with book communities.
musesong for various bits and pieces including articles, bits of writing, thoughts on role-play
A long-time committment to Green issues is reflected in my support of the UK arts/enviromental charity.
I maintain the following communities in Live Journal:
